Australia Day the Seahaven Way
Noosa has it all for the perfect Australia Day! From the food to the fun and the sea to the scenery – with so much on offer, we thought we’d narrow it down for you. Here are five different ways the fun at Noosa can put the sparkle in your sparkling on the 26th!
- Family Fun at Eumundi Live
Eumundi Live, an all-ages music festival will kick off at 1pm until 5:30pm at Eumundi Amphitheatre, Memorial Drive. Blessing the ears of festival goers with an array of pop, dance, rock and funk musicians. Along with a variety of food and beverage stalls, Eumundi Live will also offer a Kids Zone for the little ones. Better yet, all profits go to Sunshine Coast Hospice, Wildlife Rehabilitation. Enjoy the music, local produce and children’s entertainment all whilst giving back to a local charity!
- Party at the beach!
Sunshine Beach Surf Life Saving Club at Noosaville Lions Park will be throwing an Australia Day Beach Party! With giveaways, burgers and fun – partiers will enjoy the beauty of the beach as they listen to Triple J’s Hottest 100 and enjoying local food, all whilst supporting the local community and surf lifesaving organisation at Sunshine Beach.
- Live Music & More!
Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club will have the R&B tunes of Michelle Brown from 2:30pm. Sit back, bask in the beautiful ocean views whilst enjoying local seafood – all to the relaxing melodies by the singer-keyboard duo.
Café Le Monde, located on local hotspot – Hastings Street, will welcome the music of Fieu, a nominee for Triple J’s Hottest 100. Pop by number 64 on the popular street to enjoy the live beats without being too far from your home away from home!
Apollonian Hotel at Boreen Point will celebrate Australia Day with a spit roast and the soulful jazz tunes of John Withers All Strung Out Jazz. This historic establishment will take you back to the Aussie culinary roots through its rustic bush kitchen. It’s set to be a popular event, so call ahead for a booking if you think wood-fired food and jazz are for you.
- Light up the Seahaven beach-deck barbie, mate!
Is it really Australia day without a BBQ? Relax by the pool and spark up the resort barbeques with the people you love! Maybe sneak off through the resorts direct beach access to watch the sunset. Relax in the spa with a glass of resort sparkling enjoying the views from the BBQ beach deck.
- Retail R&R!
It may be a public holiday, but Noosa Civic will still welcome shoppers from 10am to 4pm and Sunshine Plaza will open its doors from 10:30am until 4pm. Escape the heat and make the most of what’s on offer! Grab some sushi, get a foot massage or partake in some well-deserved retail therapy. What’s not to love?!
